Not everyone is fortunate enough to know where their next meal will come from. Fortunately, there are amazing places like the Denver Rescue Mission to provide assistance to our community need. And of course, there are amazing people like you who are willing to volunteer to help make that possible!
WHAT WILL WE BE DOING?
The Project Helping group of volunteers will be serving food to men, women, and children at The Crossing, a transitional facility that houses the STAR Transitional Program and the New Life Program (NLP).As space is limited, make sure to register before participating in this awesome event!
Through the act of volunteering, you are actively investing in your community while also improving your mental wellness! Volunteering is proven to have numerous health benefits including improved mood, feeling healthier, increased sense of purpose and reducing stress levels.Volunteering can also give us a deep sense of happiness, both immediately and long-term.
* 94% of people who volunteer say that volunteering improves their mood.
* 96% of people who volunteer say that volunteering enriches their sense of purpose.
This is just some of the science that supports our mission and outlines why its so beneficial to do good things for others. We call that practicingkindfulness. #DoGoodFeelGood
