Last Wednesday, at around 4:15 p.m., officers were called to the corner of Pomona Drive and Quay Drive in Arvada after dispatch received multiple calls saying that a man driving a grey car had hit a man and a fence. Witnesses told Arvada Police dispatch that the man was still under the car.

Arvada man walking on sidewalk struck and killed by suspected DUI driver

Nathan Osburn, 42, was walking in the area of Pomona Drive and Quay Drive at approximately 4:15 p.m. when he was struck and killed by a vehicle that swerved off the road and onto the sidewalk, police said.

Police said Troy Glassford, 39, swerved while traveling east on Pomona Dr, colliding with a wooden privacy fence and shed at 8208 Quay Drive before striking Osburn.

Pomona Drive leads to the popular Lake Arbor park in Arvada, just north of 80th and Wadsworth.

Nathan Osburn, 42, was walking about 4:15 p.m. Wednesday in the area of Pomona Drive and Quay Drive when the car Glassford was driving swerved off the road.

The car crashed into a privacy fence and a shed at 8208 Quay Drive before striking Osburn, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
