Police were called to the area just before 6 p.m. on a report of a burglary in progress. Police shot and killed the suspect after he produced a knife, according to a Denver police spokesman.

Investigation Underway After Double Shooting In Apartment Parking Lot

Denver police say they responded to West Mississippi Avenue and South Federal Boulevard before 3 a.m When they arrived on scene, officers found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. Authorities say the men were transported with serious injuries.

A third victim was found a few blocks south, outside an apartment complex near Yale and Federal Boulevard. Officers say that is where the original incident and shooting occurred. That victim was suffering from a minor leg injury.

2 wounded in southwest Denver shooting

The shooting happened just before 3 a.m. outside at an apartment complex in the 2600 block of South Federal Boulevard, near West Yale Avenue.

The two who were wounded tried to drive to a hospital but didn’t make it. Police found them inside their vehicle about two miles north at South Federal Boulevard and West Mississippi Avenue.

Suspect fired into Colfax bar early Saturday morning in one of three overnight shootings

At about 9 p.m. on Friday, an officer shot and wounded a suspect in the hand during a foot chase following an armed robbery. An hour earlier, a man was shot and killed on Federal Boulevard and West Alameda Avenue. A homicide investigation is underway.

Two suspects held on first-degree murder warrants in Denver fatal shooting

Jeramy Montano, 29, was shot just before 6 p.m. on Jan. 14  in the 3000 block of West Center Avenue, according to an arrest affidavit. Montano had been riding in a silver sedan, with two other men, when he was shot.

The woman driving the BMW ducked below the dashboard. She threw the car in gear and drove to a nearby 7-Eleven store, in the 800 block of South Federal Boulevard, where she called 911 for help. The name of the woman, a witness and victim in the case, was redacted in the affidavit.
