Ultreia, Rioja chef's new ham-obsessed restaurant, opens this week
Ultreia, the new restaurant from chef Jennifer Jasinski (Rioja, Stoic & Genuine), should be famous for its fantastic Spanish- and Portuguese-inspired tapas menu, but it will probably be best known for the ham. The ham savvy will definitely want to try the Jamon Trio ($20.40), with slices of Fermin Jamon Serrano, Mangalica and, the granddaddy of ham, Cinco Jotas Jamon Iberico de Bellota.

Theater review: Set in Vail, The Edge’s New Year’s comedy “Resolutions” is a hilarious ride

By Josh Hartwell. Directed by Missy Moore. With Emily Paton Davies, Scott McLean, Karen Slack, Andrew Uhlenhopp, Jonathan Brown, Drew Hischboeck. Through Dec. 31 at The Edge Theater, 1560 Teller Street, Lakewood. Tickets at www.theedgetheater.com or by calling 303-232-0363.

Theater review: Set in Vail, The Edge's New Year's comedy "Resolutions" is a hilarious ride
There's nothing holly-jolly about "Resolutions," the commissioned seasonal piece by local playwright Josh Hartwell having its world premiere at The Edge. This play is brisk and funny, also rather arch and ultimately terrifying. Think of it as a refreshing antidote to every saccharine holiday show you've endured over the years.
