Our nitro spring seasonal last year was so popular - we tweaked the recipe, made it even better, and decided to bring it to you ALL YEAR LONG.
Welcome, friends. We've been really excited about sharing this new video with the world. We hope it represents who we are and how our beers can bring people together in the spirit of Colorado hospitality.
It’s officially winter, and here in Colorado we get pretty pumped at the sight of those snow covered mountain peaks. We break out the layers and the skiis and we relish in that winter chill — craft beer in hand. But as these cold, short days slowly begin to lengthen, and the sun starts to get a little stronger, we can’t help but also look forward to the inevitable promise of warmer weather.
Breckenridge Brewery's special series of bold and adventurous recipes brings something new in 750 ml cork and cage bottles just three to four times a year. The releases coming out of its Brewery Lane Series are recognized for their innovation and intrigue. This month the brewery unveiled Imperial Vanilla Porter Aged in Rum Barrels. A stronger rendition of the brewery’s renowned Vanilla Porter recipe, it is powerfully robust in flavor and strength. Relaxing in rum barrels for 55 days, the beer soaks in both the subtle sweetness of rum and savory vanilla flavors from fresh bundles of Madagascar vanilla beans.
Breckenridge Brewery is proud to join the other Anheuser-Busch craft breweries in launching a new initiative we call Elevate. Our goal is to make the beer industry as a whole stronger, safer, and more sustainable. The initiative focuses on 4 pillars: Better Beer, Better Environment, Better Communities, and Better Industry. Our commitment is to invest more in programs that Breckenridge Brewery already has in place while joining other breweries in new programs that will have a positive impact on our employees, our communities, and the brewing industry.
Holidale is a branch of the Christmas Ale family tree that's in a class of its own. Each year we set aside a batch of Christmas Ale and then let it rest in whiskey barrels for a good long time - nearly 3 months. The result is an elegant and interesting, boozy, share-worthy sipper. The barrels add notes of oak and whiskey to the soft caramel sweetness of the base old ale recipe. A deep red in color, this special release makes a coveted holiday gift for beer and whiskey lovers alike.
'Tis the season to count our blessings, count on family and friends to gather around us, and count on great beer to enjoy all that the holidays bring. So today we share Breckenridge Brewery Christmas Ale In Numbers, starting with a most appropriate count of "25" -- the number of years we've been sharing this delicious, malty, strong ale made special for the holiday season.
On Friday, we are pleased to tap in a special holiday beer brewed in collaboration with 10Barrel Brewing Co. This small batch brew can only be found at our Breckenridge Brewery & Pub in Breckenridge and our Farm House restaurant in Littleton. Cranelito is a tart saison brewed with cranberries, sweet orange peel, and a touch of cinnamon. It’s a festive beer offering much more than its delightful & refreshing taste– Breckenridge Brewery & 10Barrel are donating 100% of the proceeds of this beer’s sales to Food Bank of the Rockies.
Looking for some Fine Colorado Ales to serve your guests on Thursday? Our very own Chef Nate Gravina recommends these 5 beers to share this Turkey Day.
We've been doing this Christmas Ale thing since 1993 when our winter seasonal made its debut. True to the season, this hearty strong ale warms the soul with a spiciness that comes from Mt. Hood and Chinook hops balanced by rich flavors derived from an abundance of roasted malts. So please join us as we kick off the holiday season with the official Farm House "tapping-in" of 2017 Christmas Ale! That, in and of itself, is worthy of celebration, but we're going to do much more to get you in the holiday spirit...
Happy International Stout Day! We are happy to share on this special day that Nitro Chocolate Orange Stout is back again this year now through January! This seasonal release in our Nitro Series is a roasty stout brewed with orange zest and locally sourced Cholaca, pure liquid cacao. These traditional holiday flavors are topped by the velvety texture of the nitrogen head, making Nitro Chocolate Orange Stout the perfect wintertime indulgence.
Our Small Batch Series is known for beers like our 471 Double IPA – beers with fortitude. These big, bold beers take time to make. We dote over them, nurture them, and they may only come out occasionally. Imperial Plum IPA has earned its place in the Small Batch Series, and it’s available now for a limited time.
Over the weekend we were given an extra reason to celebrate. Our Mountain Series Maibock won the bronze medal in the Bock category at the 2017 Great American Beer Festival. “We’re extremely proud of this award. It’s nice to be recognized among so many great brewers,” commented Todd Usry, President and Brewmaster for Breckenridge Brewery. “Our congratulations go out to the other Bock category winners On Tour Brewing and Hailstorm Brewing. We were honored to share the platform with them and to represent brewers big and small.”
Who’s ready for fall? If you couldn’t tell already, we’re gearing up with a beer perfectly paired for sweater season. It’s a crisp yet oaky release with a clean finish, bright on the palate and delicious throughout. Meet the Oak Aged Saison, a limited release in our Brewery Lane Series.
