Lakewood police seek SUV, shooting suspects

The shooting took place near South Jay Street and West Bayaud Avenue at about 5 p.m. on May 30. Police said two men in an SUV drove up alongside Ivan Ocampo-Plascencia, 26, while he was walking along the street and an argument ensued. One of the men then shot Ocampo-Plascencia, killing him.

Denver man charged in deadly hit-and-run

He is accused of hitting 59-year-old Victor Barela, who was lying in the street near W. Evans Ave. and S. Bryant Street, in the early morning hours of May 25. Barela died after being taken to an area hospital, but Paz allegedly failed to stop and check for injuries to Barela or to notify police.
