Big changes underway around the 41st and Fox commuter rail station! Much of east Sunnyside will be impacted by this. We hope to engage neighbors in shaping planning that will impact the future of our neighborhood. One way you can help us is by attending our monthly Sunnyside Planning and Community Development (PCD) Meetings.

Denver council sets stage for density on "Fox Island," but some question affordable housing strategy
The "urban island" that surrounds the new Fox Street rail station in Globeville has been approved for potential redevelopment. On Monday night, the Denver City Council voted in favor of a rezoning and development plan that would allow up to 12 floors of construction along Fox Street.

Navajo Street Partners is hosting a mid-year ...

Navajo Street Partners is hosting a mid-year week-long street clean up effort to beautify Sunnyside from June 25-29th. There will be garbage & recycling bags, gloves & vests housed at the Quigg Newton Community Center (look for a sign at the front desk) along with a map so folks can write their names on the streets they will be cleaning. Anytime during that week is fine. Can you please post this to the community? We are a mighty but small force and we’d love to see some of the neighborhood residents participate. Many thanks, Maureen
