The east area plan between Colorado Boulevard and Yosemite is currently working on vision elements for the future of our connected neighborhoods. A vision element, includes the following: Future oriented Likely to lead to a better future for the community – that is, it fits the community’s history and culture; Reflects the community’s values; Sets standards of excellence; Clarifies the community’s purpose and direction; Inspires enthusiasm and commitment; Below I’ve listed the 6 Vision Elements and the main topics within them, that we are working on. Less a performance-oriented event than a celebration of childhood reading, this inaugural fest — sponsored by the mighty Tattered Cover book stores — zeroes in on middle grade books and authors, but subsequent years will include picture books, according to organizers. With its partners at OMG BookFest! this free gathering brings games, activities, readings and meetings to the Tattered Cover on East Colfax Avenue.
