On March 24, 2018, we encourage you to join millions of people across the globe in switching off home lighting for one hour to observe Earth Hour, the world’s largest public environmental action. In 2007, Earth Hour began as a single-city initiative in Sydney, Australia, and has since grown into a global movement with millions of people from more than 5,000 cities and towns in 135 countries/territories across every continent switching off their lights to make history as the world’s greatest environmental action. A global call to action for every individual throughout the world, Earth Hour invites all of us to take responsibility for our environmental impact and join a growing international community of people who are committed to leading environmental change. With your help, the impact of Earth Hour 2018 will be even greater than in past years. For this eleventh anniversary year of Earth Hour, make a resolution to be a part of making climate change history. Raise your voice for the planet and show that you care. As a proud supporter of Earth Hour, Windsor encourages you to join with us and millions of others in endorsing a global call to action. Getting involved is easy: 1. Commit with a friend, co-worker, or family member to save the planet by engaging them in the global Earth Hour movement. 2. Invite your friends and family to participate and stay connected to the conversation by becoming a fan of Earth Hour on Facebook and following @earthhour on Twitter. 3. Switch off your non-essential lighting from 8:30-9:30 p.m. local time on Saturday, March 24. Share the moment with family and friends and consider how you can reduce your ecological footprint with a commitment to an action that benefits the planet beyond the hour. Thank you for helping to make Earth Hour 2018 the biggest effort yet. Learn more at www.earthhour.org. #ChangeClimateChange #WindsorCommunities
