Most work sites seem to shut down around rush hour, but one development at East 8th Avenue and Bellaire Street was not most work sites.

One of Denver’s oldest barbershops will close after 64 years of cutting hair

He didn’t need the traditional red-white-and-blue barber pole outside to draw him to the shop at 4324 8th Ave. Muller has been coming to O’Brien’s to get his hair cut by owner Dick Alderson since 1967.

    Like the hundreds of thousands of people, mostly men, who have walked through the doors of O'Brien's Tonsorial Parlor since it opened in Denver in 1953, Nick Muller was looking for a haircut and a conversation. Save the Date! 2017 Hilltop Halloween Parade

Join us for the annual Hilltop Halloween Parade on Sunday, October 29th from 11am to 1pm.  Our costume parade and party begins at Cranmer Park near the Sundial and then winds its way down 2nd Avenue through the neighborhood to Robinson Park for a post-parade celebration with pizza, games and fun activities. Everyone is encouraged to brink a canned food item for donation to the Denver Rescue Mission.  For more information and to volunteer for this fun event, please contact hilltophalloweenevent@gmail.com
