2018 Earth Month – Thank You Congress Park Neighbors

April 2018 was a special month. On four Saturdays in a row, the Green Team hosted events in support of Planet Earth. Events focused on actions to take right now to reduce your carbon footprint. Events also introduced participants to Congress Park neighbors already taking action and willing to share their experience. All events were free and open to the public!

Subject: ZPIN Notification for 1470 and 1474 N. Clayton St.

Dear City Councilman New, City Councilwoman Kniech, City Councilwoman Ortega and Staff, Registered Neighborhood Organization Representatives, and Community Planning and Development Department Staff:

Subject: ZPIN Notification for 1470 and 1474 N. Clayton St.
The City of Denver is creating a plan for the East Central Area, which includes the neighborhoods along Colfax Avenue between Broadway and Colorado Boulevard. The City needs your help establishing the community's vision for the next 20 years. Your participation is crucial for making sure the plan truly reflects the community's hopes for the future.

  • Denver Waldorf School reviewed by a parent

Neutral seems to be the message, but that's not really fair. I want to strongly disagree with some of our experience and strongly agree with others. It seems like if the teacher or employee is good at what they do, then it works, but if anyone is struggling--teacher, student, parent, administrator, there isn't a way to get passed that. You'd think some things about how to run a school would be automatically in place for a school this old, but it doesn't happen here. It's sad because there are some real gems--the philosophy behind the education seems intriguing (and slightly hidden, can't figure out if they don't know what they're talking about or they just don't know how to tell me what they're talking about) and some of the teachers my kids have had should be awarded teacher of the year. But some of our other experiences have been so awful I can't believe these folks haven't lost their accreditation. Definitely some very happy families at the school, and some very unhappy ones.
