The rash of crimes began just after 2:30 p.m. on Dec. 22 when a man entered the US Bank branch at 8401 E. Belleview Ave. in southeast Denver and demanded money. Its not clear what happened next, but the suspect ran away from the bank without any cash, according to an FBI news release.
Later that day, two men armed with handguns robbed the TCF Bank at 1710 S. Havana St. in Aurora, making off with an unknown amount of cash.
