Louis Lara-Macias, 17, also received a 21-year prison sentence, which the judge said would be suspended upon completion of a youth-offender program. Court documents state Englewood police responded to a call of shots fired back in Oct. 1, 2016 in the area of South Acoma Street and West Cornell Avenue.

 According to a release from the District Attorney's Office for the 18th Judicial District, 33-year-old Nicholas Lewis was shot three times in the 3000 block of South Acoma St in October 2016. He was later pronounced dead at a hospital.

Englewood police, responding to reports of shots fired, found Lewis on his back in the 3000 block of South Acoma Street. Lewis was shot three times in the chest. He was pronounced dead at Swedish Medical Center.
