Affidavit: Man accused of setting Lakewood barn fire said he was 'gonna blow things up'

The witness went outside to smoke and saw flames coming from 5405 West 3rd Ave. She said Maynes came out and also started watching the fire, the affidavit said.

A camping cooler with combustible materials stacked on top of it was set on fire, according to the arrest affidavit. That cooler was found under the stairs at 5345 W. 3rd Pl., an apartment building that houses 21 people.
